Job Summary

JOB SUMMARY

Operate and direct the Food and Beverage department for the course in a profitable manner.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Manages the budget for the food and beverage department. Ensures that proper record keeping and reporting is completed on the food and beverage operations.
  • Maintains beverage inventory and oversees ordering.
  • Markets and manages event planning for the Club, works with members to secure agreements and coordinates activities associated with non-golf events.
  • Hires, trains and manages the front of house staff. Manages and schedules staff to ensure proper coverage for daily operations and events.
  • Develops and implements standards and procedures associated with the Food and Beverage Department.
  • Ensures that Food and Beverage facilities and equipment are maintained and in proper repair.

  • Must have knowledge in Food and Beverage operations specifically in financial controls, staff management and facilities and equipment management.

JOB DESCRIPTION

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • One year of previous management experience in Food and Beverage operations or related experience.
  • High Diploma or GED required. Some college preferred.

Responsibilities and Duties

Manage the front of the house staff to maintain high levels of member/guest satisfaction in the bar, dining room and two snack shops. Will be responsible for social events, private banquet parties and other Club functions.

Must be a team leader and have a very positive attitude each day.

Qualifications and Skills

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • One year of previous management experience in Food and Beverage operations or related experience.
  • High Diploma or GED required. Some college preferred.

Must be well experienced in all areas of managing the food and beverage department including serving, bartending, proper dining room set-up/etiquette and banquet events.

Must be Servsafe certified
