Job Summary

Purpose of the Position The Administrative Assistant for the Campus Pastor will provide administrative support by organizing and coordinating ministry resources for the Lake Hills Church - Haywood campus.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the Lake Hills Church office
  • Provides administrative support to the ministry team
  • Coordinate and support the ministries by organizing schedules and preparation of resources.
  • Oversee the ACS database for the campus by performing data entry, report generation, managing rosters, and tracking of prospect and membership information.
  • Plan and implement ministry activities i.e. auditions, guest services and/or group studies.

Other Duties & Responsibilities

  • Coordinate worship materials such as worship guide, class rosters, displays, etc.
  • Responsible for the purchasing of supplies, materials and equipment for church ministries.
  • Provide discreetly, accurate and current hospital/nursing home status of member’s health and report to ministry team as needed.
  • Set-up and organize venues in the church for special studies, prayer groups, auditions and worship.
  • Recruit, mobilize, and utilize office volunteers.
  • Coordinate mission opportunities (local, area, and abroad), both church wide and individual ministries.
  • Develop and present a report of on-going mission partnerships for all mission partners and church missions.
  • Coordinate cost effective travel arrangements and prepare itineraries for mission trips and/or ministry department needs.
  • Administer and maintain church membership information using ACS database.*
  • Communicates and prepares for the Guest Services team their weekly responsibilities for each service.*
  • Maintain music library
  • Coordinates and prepares payment request for musicians and special guests.
  • Prepare and maintain attendance reports and graphs.
  • Actively involved in a local church and available for ministry activities at LHC which may include a Wednesday evening and/or Sunday evening service.
  • Maintain wise stewardship of all God’s resources that He has given you.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Skills

Qualifications

  • Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a church office or ministry.
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel, Internet (skills testing perfromed)
  • Experience with ACS database management preferred.
  • Evidence of moral character and a lifestyle that is consistent with that of LHC Constitution, Bylaws and Statement of Faith.
  • Demonstrated to have excellent verbal and written communications skills.

Knowledge/Understanding

  • Understands and supports the Southern Baptist denomination.
  • Knowledge and understanding of budgeting and financial operations of a church.
  • General working knowledge of office equipment i.e. scanner, copier, and fax.
  • Ability to identify information, materials, and resources needed to complete a project or assignment.
  • Experience in event coordination

  • Must be able to communicate effectively and professionally with all levels of staff and the general public (verbally and in writing)
